Bahawalnagar: (Ghulam Mohiuddin CEO) Deputy Commissioner Zulfiqar Ahmed Bhawan has said that to control artificial and self-inflation, all price control magistrates have been instructed to implement the zero-tolerance policy and ensure the sale of quality food items at fixed prices.  Instructions have been issued and he is personally monitoring the price control mechanism every moment and we have to provide all possible relief to the public.  He said this while addressing a performance review meeting of Price Control Magistrates in the conference room of DC Office Bahawalnagar, which was attended by Assistant Commissioners and officers of other concerned departments.

 Zulfiqar Ahmed Bhawan said that providing relief to the people is the first priority of the government.  Assistant commissioners should closely monitor the prices, demand and supply of commodities and those involved in illegal profiteering and high selling will be dealt with strictly.

 In the meeting, Deputy Commissioner Zulfikar Ahmed Bhawan directed that a strict crackdown should be taken against the elements involved in the adulteration of food items and severe punishment should be given to those involved in the heinous business of adulteration.  In the meeting, the individual performance of all price control magistrates was also reviewed in detail.
